Workers' Health Exhibition

Our health is very much affected by our work environment. Since most students and 80% of the employees in the University work with a computer, it is important for us to note our posture and various factors which may affect our health.

You are welcome to come to the above exhibition and have your COMPUTING POSTURE, LIFTING and even STANDING & SITTING POSTURE ASSESSED. Pamphlets on various Occupational Health and Safety issues will also be available.

Workshops on 'Creating a Healthy Workplace', 'Manual Handling Operation and Back Care', 'Work Stress', ”„Computing Ergonomics”¦ and 'Repetitive Strain Injury & Prevention' are arranged. All frequent desktop / laptop users are strongly advised to attend the 'Computer Ergonomics' Workshop. All staff undertaking manual handling operation are advised to attend the 'Manual Handling' workshop, especially for those who have never attended similar classes before.
