Primary care consultations are generally provided free of charge to those eligible. There are charges
for insurance and other reports, certain procedures, medications, investigations and sundry items.
As an attempt to recover costs, the Council had approved to charge certain screening, preventive and
elective procedures delivered by the UHS such as hepatitis screening, mammography, vaccinations,
contraceptives, smoking cessation drugs and medical reports, etc.
