Severe Weather Arrangement
Arrangements for the clinic under severe weather conditions are as follows:
1. Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.8 or above / “Extreme Conditions”
- Once the Hong Kong Observatory announces that Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.8 or above /
“Extreme Conditions” will be issued soon:- The UHS will stop accepting new bookings for the day.
- Appointment slots that fall under the period when Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No.8 or above /
“Extreme Conditions” is hoisted will be cancelled without prior notice. - Since traffic disruptions may occur even before the signal is officially hoisted, and adverse weather conditions such as heavy rain, strong winds, or poor visibility can also impact transportation and safety, patients with appointments on that day are advised to contact us as soon as possible for alternative arrangements.
- In general, clinic will resume service within 2 hours if the signal is cancelled or lowered to Signal No.3 before 2:45pm,
and as conditions allow. - If the service resumption is anticipated to fall within the lunch break (if applicable), the services will be resumed at 2:00pm.
2. Black Rainstorm Warning Signal
- If Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is issued outside clinic opening hours, clinic will be closed.
- In general, clinic will resume service within 2 hours if the signal is cancelled before 2:45pm, and as conditions allow.
- If the service resumption is anticipated to fall within the lunch break (if applicable), the services will be resumed at 2:00pm.
- If Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is issued during clinic opening hours, clinic will remain open.
